I’m Eve, and I’m a professional organizer serving Front Royal, Virginia. I do home organizing, packing and moving help, home staging, and estate and downsizing work, at $55 an hour with a three-hour minimum. Front Royal is about half an hour from my base in Winchester, and most Front Royal jobs have no trip fee.
Before The Organized Kat was a business, Front Royal was just where I lived. For a long time. So when I started taking clients, the first ones were people close by, in the neighborhoods I already knew.
That matters more than it sounds like it should. I don’t need directions. I know which stretch of 522 backs up and when. And I have a pretty good idea what a house looks like inside before I walk in, because I lived in one.
Many of the Front Royal homes I know are older homes that weren’t designed around the amount of storage we expect today. Closets can be shallow. There may be no mudroom. The pantry may be one cabinet instead of a walk-in space.
So things migrate. The basement becomes overflow storage. The spare room fills up. One wall of the garage slowly disappears behind boxes. That doesn’t mean anyone is messy. It usually means the house needs a better system for the things that actually belong there.
Which is why I don’t start with bins. I start with deciding what earns a spot, then build the storage around what’s left. Here’s where I’d tell you to begin.

Home Organizing — Closets, pantries, kitchens, kids’ rooms, garages, basements, sheds. Systems built around how your family actually moves through the house, labeled so they survive everyone else in it.
Packing & Moving Help — Full packing, unpacking at the new place, and a moving checklist so you’re not taping up the kitchen at midnight.
Home Staging — Getting a Front Royal listing show-ready using the furniture already in the house.
Estate & Downsizing — Sorting a parent’s house, or your own, slowly and with some care. This one I go at your pace, not mine.
Everything you let go of leaves with a plan. In Front Royal I run donations to the Blue Ridge Care thrift shop on South Street, which half the town still calls Blue Ridge Hospice, or to Goodwill. Both take household goods, and Blue Ridge Care also offers donation pickup by appointment.
If something’s actually worth selling, I’ll say so and help you get it listed. What I won’t do is stack four bags by your front door and call the job finished.
Home organizing is $55 an hour with a three-hour minimum. Packing, staging, and estate work I quote per project. Bins, baskets, and labels go on your bill at cost, receipts included, never marked up.
Front Royal sits inside the travel radius I include at no charge, so for almost every job there’s no trip fee. The exception is a house way out on the edge of the county, and if that’s yours, the fee is in the quote before you agree to anything. No surprises at the end.
I space my Front Royal jobs across the week instead of stacking them onto one day, so the drive stays part of my normal routine. Practically, that usually means I can get you on the calendar sooner than you’d expect.
One of my regular Front Royal clients is a landlord with properties around town. When a tenant moves out, I clear the place: everything left behind sorted, hauled, donated, or tossed, so it’s ready for whoever’s next.
The last one took about six hours and covered the whole house. It smelled so strongly of smoke that I worked in a mask with every window in the place open. By the time I finished it was empty, it looked genuinely good, and most of the smell was gone. That surprised both of us.
That’s not organizing, exactly. But it’s the same muscle: walk into a full house, decide fast what goes where, and don’t stop until it’s done. If you’re a landlord or an agent in Front Royal staring down a turnover, that falls under packing and moving help.
Great service. Very thorough. Eve has done a number of houses for me and I’m always very pleased with the standard of her work. I highly recommend her.
One Front Royal parent I worked with had preschool-age kids and a playroom that had gotten ahead of everyone. Toys and scraps covered the floor, with cords and food wrappers mixed in. The curtains stayed drawn, and there was nowhere safe to set a baby down.
I was there for six hours that day. The playroom was one part of it, along with other rooms in the house, and I cleaned as I went. When I left, the floor was clear, the baby gear was lined up along the wall, and the curtain was open. The parent was thrilled.
I wrote up the whole process, including what to keep and where to donate, in how to organize kids toys before the holidays.

No, not for the vast majority of jobs. Front Royal falls inside The Organized Kat’s roughly twenty-five-mile travel radius around Winchester, where drive time is already built into the rate, so what you’re quoted is what you pay. The only time a trip fee shows up is for a property well out past the edges of town, and even then it’s a small flat amount that appears in your written quote before you commit to anything. I’d rather tell you about a fee up front and have you say no than surprise you with a line item at the end.
Home organizing through The Organized Kat is $55 an hour with a three-hour minimum, which is an introductory rate I’ve set while I build the business. Packing, staging, and estate or downsizing work get quoted per project, since a two-bedroom apartment and a four-bedroom house aren’t the same job. Any bins, baskets, drawer inserts, or labels I buy for you are billed at cost with receipts, no markup, and you’re welcome to buy them yourself from a list I’ll write for free.
