About Eve — The Organized Kat

I drew that cat when I was little.

I don’t remember exactly why. She had an apron, a spray bottle, and a look on her face like she’d found your junk drawer and had opinions about it. I kept the drawing. Somewhere in the back of my head I always figured I’d use her for something someday.

Turns out someday was this.

The business

The Organized Kat LLC is female-owned, licensed, and carries general liability insurance. I’m based in Winchester, Virginia, and I work with families across the Shenandoah Valley — Front Royal, Strasburg, Berryville, Leesburg — and over into Martinsburg, West Virginia. I’ll travel for the right project.

I do home organizing, packing and moving help, home staging, and estate and downsizing work. Every job starts with decluttering, because organizing things you don’t want is just moving them around in a nicer arrangement.

Working with me

You’ll get me. Not a team, not a rotating crew — me, in your house, with your things, for as long as the job takes.

I think that’s the part that matters most, especially for the harder jobs: sorting a parent’s home after a loss, or downsizing a place someone lived in for forty years. Those days aren’t really about the stuff. Having one calm person in the room who isn’t grieving is sometimes the whole job.

So who's Kat?

She’s the cat on the logo. That’s the whole mystery. I’m Eve, and I’m the one who shows up at your house and does the organizing. Kat just supervises from the letterhead.

Why I do this

I’m young. I’m building this business from the ground up, and I’m not going to pretend I’ve been doing it for twenty years.

What I have is this: I know that an organized space makes for a happier headspace. Not in a slogan way. In a real way — the kind you feel on a morning when nothing is where it should be and the whole day starts sideways because of it. Clutter takes your time and your calm, and most people pay that tax daily without ever naming it.

So I come in and we fix it. Together. I don’t throw anything out, I don’t decide anything for you, and I never once make you feel bad about how it got this way. Everybody’s got a drawer they don’t open. Mine included.

What I build isn’t a photo shoot. It’s a system that still works on a Tuesday when everyone’s late and nobody’s thinking about where the scissors go.
