Effective date: July 14, 2026
The Organized Kat LLC ("The Organized Kat," "I," "me," or "my") runs this website at theorganizedkat.com. I'm a professional home organizing business based in Winchester, Virginia. This policy explains what information I collect when you visit the site or reach out to me, how I use it, and the choices you have.
I keep this simple on purpose. I'm a one-person business, I don't sell your information, and I only collect what I need to answer your questions and quote your project.
When you fill out the quote or contact form, or email or call me, you choose what to share. The form asks for your name, email address, phone number, the service you're interested in, and a short message about your project. If you write to me directly, I'll have whatever you include in that message.
Like most websites, this site collects some basic technical information when you visit — things like your approximate location, browser type, device, the pages you look at, and how you got here. This comes through Google Analytics and standard server logs. It's used to understand which pages are helpful, not to identify you personally.
This site uses a small number of cookies, mainly for analytics—to count and understand visits—and, if a spam-protection tool like Google reCAPTCHA is active on the contact form, to tell real visitors from bots. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, though some features may behave differently.
I use the information you provide to:
I use the automatically collected information to see how people find and use the site so I can improve it.
I don't use your information for automated decision-making, and I don't send marketing emails through this site.
I don't sell your personal information, and I never will.
I share information only with the services that help me run the business, and only as needed for them to do their job:
I may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect my rights, safety, or property.
I keep your messages and project records for as long as I need them to serve you and for reasonable business and tax recordkeeping, then I delete them. If you'd like me to delete your information sooner, just ask using the contact information below.
Virginia's Consumer Data Protection Act gives residents rights over their personal data — including the right to access, correct, or delete it, and to opt out of its sale. I don't sell data, and as a small business I fall below the law's coverage thresholds, but I'm glad to honor these requests anyway.
If you'd like to see what I have, correct it, or have it deleted, email me at eve@theorganizedkat.com and I'll take care of it.
You can also opt out of Google Analytics across all sites using Google's browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout .
This site is meant for adults and isn't directed at children under 13. I don't knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has sent me information, contact me and I'll delete it.
This site links to my Facebook page and may link to other outside sites. I'm not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites — once you leave theorganizedkat.com, their policies apply, so it's worth reading them.
I take reasonable steps to protect the information I hold, but no website or method of storage is perfectly secure. I can't guarantee absolute security, though I do treat your information with care.
If I update how I handle information, I'll post the revised policy here with a new effective date. Please check back now and then.
Contact me to ask a privacy question or request access, correction, or deletion of your information.
